The Mission of DECA

To enhance the co-curricular education of students with career interest in marketing, management and entrepreneurship through leadership programs, publications, information technology, conferences and competitive events.

About TJ DECA

DECA membership at Thomas Jefferson High School is open to sophmores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in a marketing class at TJ. Students enrolled in the Marketing 1-2, Marketing 3-4, and the School Store classes are required to be DECA members since DECA is a co-curricular student organization. Students in DECA have the unique opportunity to gain business experience through working the school store and the SOT’s (snacks on tracks). The 2007-2008 TJ DECA Chapter is 109 members strong, and is ready for success. The goal of TJ DECA is “to be the standard to which others are measured.”
